We have Teacup Persian Kittens Now!!
Chocolate and Lilac are recessive genes and lilac will only be present if the parents not only carry chocolate but also the dilute gene, enabling the creation of lilac. For this reason, these 2 colors are rare as it gets and a lot of research to create. I personally have been on this journey since 2005 and I'm pleased with our Chocolate & Lilac program. Time is the one thing we can never get back, so if you come here seeking these colors, know this when you reach out.
This is a solid chocolate longhair Persian, always remember to prevent confusion from black, a true chocolate will always have pink paw pads!
It prevents any arguments over if a kitten or cat is or is not chocolate or lilac by checking the toebeans:)
Chocolate is the color, tabby is the pattern! Not to be mistaken for a brown tabby, which can look the same at a glance and equally as beautiful. Check the paw pads, proof is in the toebeans!
All patterns of chocolate or lilac will have pink paw pads, chocolate or lilac tabbies, chocolate or lilac pointed, or solids.
Lilac, short Exotic hair or long hair Persian! Now we are getting to the double dutch affair! Not only must BOTH parents carry or be chocolate, they must BOTH also carry or be dilute! These little gems are the very definition of rare! We do have them, not very often and not to be confused by blue, which at a quick glance, can appear the same but as you move closer to the kitten, they are very different:)
Blue Exotic shorthair, not to be confused with lilac
A Mother & daughter of ours drinking in the afternoon sunshine. These kinds of scenes fill my heart:)
2 best friends taking a Sunday nap together, top is a brown tabby and bottom is a chocolate tabby. Glory Bug & Coco Bean:)
Often a very elegant black will also be in a litter of Chocolate, however, they are very different. Always refer to the toe beans! Sometimes black can have a reddish cast to it, but it's still black, not chocolate.
Chocolate comes in several patterns, here it is in both solid chocolate and chocolate tabby:)
