The famous Fancy Feast cat is not white, but a Chinchilla Silver.
Chinchilla simply means "light" no matter which color, Gold, Blue Golden or Silver that you're referring to, Chinchilla means lighter and Shaded means more shading or slightly darker barring.
Another example of how this color division lightens as they grow. As all 3 layers of hair fill in, the hair is lifted further up away from their bodies and is lighter in appearance.
This is an example of a Chinchilla Golden long hair Persian, they are a little harder to produce, nature tends to lean towards shaded golden.
Shaded golden is more common and very popular due to the appearance of a "tiny tiger". With their barring looking like little ringlets they have a wild appeal:)
Shaded silver also has the tiger stripping but with sprinkles of silver dust all over. Very pretty and can be seen above in an exotic shorthair coat. This example happens to be one of our Rughuggers aka Minuets.
A personal favorite of mine, not to be confused with lilac, or a blue tabby. Blue Golden is iridescent and almost appears to shift as the kitten walks across the room. These also are set apart by their green or aqua eyes. True Blue Golden is a recessive and rare gene. While blue tabby's are fairly common. The best way to tell them apart is the eye color.
